Turkey is a traditional food at fall and winter holiday meals, and you can enjoy this favorite meat year-round from Elmwood Stock Farm. Broad-Breasted Bronze turkeys are similar in size and shape to a supermarket-purchased turkey, but the similarities end right there!

You are purchasing a turkey raised outdoors in our pastured system, which provides a diet enriched by grasses, fresh air, adequate exercise and sunlight. Our bronze feathered turkeys free-range on fresh green grass or clover pastures supplemented with wholesome organic non-GMO grains, resulting in moist, flavorful turkey. USDA organic certification ensures third-party verification of our production practices and ultimately results in better health for you, your family and all the guests around the table.

Thanksgiving 2024

This year Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 28, 2024.

We assume your order is for pickup or delivery just prior to Thanksgiving, and we’ll be shipping out the week of 11/18/24. If you want to receive your turkey earlier, please let us know in the order NOTES.

Turkeys are freshly-frozen at the butcher, ship frozen from the farm, and you will want to allow time for your turkey to thaw in your refrigerator before preparation.

In addition to shipping, we offer free local pickup at the following locations:

Georgetown:

On-farm, Georgetown, KY; 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday through Tuesday, 11/26/24. 

Lexington:

Saturday, 11/23/24: Lexington Farmers Market, Pavilion downtown in Tandy Centennial Park, Lexington, KY; 8:00am-12:00pm.

Cincinnati:

Sunday, 11/24/24: Winter Market at Hyde Park, Madtree Brewing, 3301 Madison Rd, Cincinnati, OH; 10:00am-1:00pm. 

Louisville:

St Matthews Rainbow Blossom Market, MEET OUR VAN on Thursday, 11/21/24 at 12 noon. 

We can also deliver to your home for an extra charge if you are in our delivery area of Central KY, Northern KY, Lexington, Louisville and Cincinnati. Check your zip code to see if home delivery is offered to your address.

Have your turkey shipped! We currently offer shipping to the 48 contiguous states. Enter your full address when you choose your turkey and air shipping costs will appear for you.

We’ll be shipping the week prior to the holiday, allowing ample time for your turkey to be delivered and to thaw. If you would like your turkey earlier, please leave us an order note and we will contact you to make arrangements.
