Farm Tours and Events

Part of our responsibility at Elmwood Stock Farm is to educate our community as to why we choose to produce food in a regenerative, holistic system. Designed for curious adults and children alike, you’ll learn about how food gets from the farm to your plate, the biological principles behind organic farming and the importance of understanding where your food comes from.

We’re doing something a little different this year. For 2025 we’re offering a selection of both educational tours and fun community events. You’ll find more information, dates and ticket links below.

Farm Tours for 2025: Celebrating Soil and Sun

Each two-hour farm tour will showcase the joys and secrets of organic farming and will touch on many of the techniques employed at Elmwood Stock Farm, including greenhouse production systems, pastured poultry and pigs, grass-fed cattle and sheep, vegetable growing, soil building, ecologically sustainable agriculture, and beneficial insects, to name a few. You’ll get a taste of daily life here at the farm while learning about the ways we feed our community and the ecosystems that surround us.

Note: Farm tours are held rain or shine, except in the event of severe weather.

Farm tour tickets must be purchased ahead of time as group size is limited. (Links to upcoming tours are below.) Children under the age of 12 can claim complimentary tickets when attending with an adult.

Elmwood Stock Farm CSA members should register and purchase at least one ticket, and then can add the rest of the family at no charge by contacting the farm directly. After attending the tour, the value of the purchased tour ticket will then be credited to the CSA member account to use for purchasing extra items throughout the season.
