Believe it or not, Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away so while you’re making your menu and organizing your guest list, don’t forget to place your pre-order for one of our 100% organic and pasture-raised turkeys.
We’ve received many pre-orders already this year so the earlier you can get yours in the better to be sure your bird of choice is reserved. Here are some important dates to remember: This year Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 28. The last day to place a pre-order for a turkey from us for shipping is November 25 and we’ll be doing local deliveries up until November 26. Since we send out our turkeys freshly-frozen, keep in mind that you’ll want to allow time to thaw your turkey in the fridge before preparation so ordering earlier is best. We also offer local pickup at a few different locations:
Georgetown:
On-farm, Georgetown, KY; 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday through Tuesday, 11/26/24.
Lexington:
Saturday, 11/23/24: Lexington Farmers Market, Pavilion downtown in Tandy Centennial Park, Lexington, KY; 8:00am-12:00pm.
Cincinnati:

You can place your pre-order online or in person at the farm store. When you go to place your pre-order you’ll have the opportunity to choose between our broad-breasted and heritage breed turkeys. Our broad-breasted turkeys are similar to what’s available commercially at the grocery store but far exceed them in flavor. Meanwhile, our heritage turkeys are more closely related to turkeys you’d find in the wild but with a deliciously juicy and rich texture and flavor. Here’s a handy chart that illustrates the differences between the two:
Whichever type of turkey you choose you can rest assured that we raise our turkeys with the highest of standards. Our turkeys are completely free-range and kept outdoors on pasture with shelters in the event of inclement weather. In addition to getting the opportunity to pick and root through the grass as they would naturally, we provide them with wholesome USDA-certified organic grains as a supplement without the use of antibiotics, GMO grains or synthetic chemicals.
We also have a range of sizes available to suit whatever size gathering you may be having. Generally, our broad-breasted turkeys go from 12 pounds all the way up to 25 pounds while our heritage turkeys go from 7 pounds to 17 pounds.
You may also consider ordering one of our organic brine kits or our poultry rub, both of which we make in house.
If you have any questions about ordering a turkey please feel free to reach out. It’s always an honor to know that our turkeys help make your holidays brighter year after year.
