SNAP/EBT & the Farmers Market Nutrition Program

How to use your SNAP/EBT, Double Dollars, and WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks with Elmwood Stock Farm during the 2020 growing season:

SNAP/EBT Purchases

Elmwood Stock Farm can accept SNAP/EBT and Double Dollars at the Lexington Farmers Market on Saturdays only; we cannot accept SNAP/EBT or Double Dollars on the farm at this time. You can purchase any food item and food-producing plants with your SNAP card. You can purchase vegetables, fruits, food-producing plants, meats and eggs with your Double Dollars.

Purchase from Elmwood Stock Farm as a walk-up customer at the Saturday Lexington Farmers Market, or preorder with us to pick up at the Lexington Farmers Market:

  1. Visit our online store to see what’s available.
  2. Call or email us with your order so we can pack it and bring it with us to the farmers market. Preorders must be placed by 2:30 pm on Friday.
  3. At the Lexington Farmers Market, visit the market manager booth to run your SNAP/EBT card and receive your SNAP and Double Dollars tokens. The Lexington Farmers Market is in the Rupp Arena Parking Lot, at Maxwell and Broadway, 8 am to noon on Saturdays.
  4. Bring your tokens to the Elmwood Stock Farm booth, pay for your order with your tokens, and take home your fresh, organic food. Be sure you know which tokens you can use for which items—we know it gets tricky, but the farmers market manager can help!
