Building a sustainable food system is at the heart of the work we do here at our farm but it’s not something we can do alone. That’s why we’re so fortunate to have connected with other food producers, some near and some a bit further afield, who share our mission and have been so generous to partner with us to provide our customers with other certified organic products (a rarity in the food hub/farming scene) to supplement what we sell. We’re proud to support their work and are excited for you all to get to know them – and to sample their offerings!
Fair-trade certified and organic certified coffee is already a rarity but to find some that’s locally roasted and bagged in Paris, KY is downright incredible. We got to know CaffeMarco founder Mark Newberry when we started attending the Lexington Farmers Market. Mark was committed to source beans only from a few world regions and ensure that it would always be fair-trade and USDA organic. Starting with only a handful of profiles, we were blown away by his business practices and the coffee was of course delicious.
We immediately wanted to form a partnership and have been proud to support this small family business for years, first with Mark and now with Mark’s nephew, Arthur. We offer selections of both the ground and whole bean blends in the farm store and at our farmers market booth but one of the best ways to enjoy it is as a CSA shareholder!
Our supply of CaffeMarco is limited but our CSA shareholders always get priority. You can easily select to include a bag with your weekly box and even better, you can add on a coffee share to your vegetable share. This means you’ll receive a 1 lb bag brewer’s choice of variety each week, or decaf should you request that, in either whole bean or ground.
Much gratitude to Mark, Arthur and the entire CaffeMarco team for partnering with us and being such great collaborators for all these years!
