SPRING Into Healthy Eating with our Winter/Spring CSA

One of our very favorite ways of connecting with our customers is through our CSA program which has been going 20+ years strong!

Our 2024 Winter/Spring CSA season promises to be a bountiful one. Starting the week of January 15 and going into May, weekly shares will include potatoes and sweet potatoes, root vegetables, winter squashes, lots of leafy and Asian greens like kale and bok choy, as well as early crops of spring favorites such as asparagus and spinach – along with plenty of other surprises! There will also be plenty of organic, pasture-raised eggs and meat to add on to set you up well for healthy and delicious eating through spring.

We get lots of questions about what exactly a CSA is and the benefits. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and CSA members, or shareholders as we call them, commit to purchasing a share prior to the beginning of and for the entirety of the season. This guarantees them first pick of that season’s vegetables, meat and eggs and more week after week and also directly supports us in being able to financially account for the year ahead. We’re very grateful for our CSA shareholders and make sure to reward them with lots of meaningful perks, including:

The experience of true seasonal eating

By becoming a CSA member you’ll get to enjoy local, freshly harvested produce, right when it’s in season – and sometimes through its various stages of development.

Organic eating straight from your local farm

Our sixth-generation Kentucky farm is proud to meet the standards of organic certification on all of our offerings, so you can be assured that as a CSA member you’ll be receiving healthy, safe, nutritious and wholesome food grown with care while supporting our local, family owned farm.

First pick of all our offerings

We always give our CSA members priority before our vegetables, meats and eggs are offered to the general public. Even if you choose a vegetable-only share, you’ll have first pick to purchase any additional vegetables, meats and eggs each week.

CSA exclusives

Each week you’ll receive a CSA member-only email newsletter with food storage tips, recipes, crop news and other items of interest.

Special events

You’ll get first shot at purchasing tickets to any on-farm events we hold, like our farm tours and farm to table dinners.
