2025 Farm Tours and Events

One of the biggest highlights of our spring and summer seasons is getting to host farm tours. Getting the opportunity to connect our customers with their food, and with us, on a deep and meaningful level is at the backbone of all that we do and we love getting to educate the community on our regenerative and organic farming practices in such a hands on way.

This year we’re doing things a little differently. For 2025 we’re hosting four educational tours and two fun community events from April through September. Read on for more information:

Farm Tour Details

The theme of this year’s farm tours is Celebrating Soil and Sun. Each two-hour farm tour will showcase the joys and secrets of organic farming and will touch on many of the techniques employed at Elmwood Stock Farm, including greenhouse production systems, pastured poultry and pigs, grass-fed cattle and sheep, vegetable growing, soil building, ecologically sustainable agriculture, and beneficial insects, to name a few. You’ll get a taste of daily life here at the farm while learning about the ways we feed our community and the ecosystems that surround us.

Farm tour dates are as follows:

April 19, 2025 9:00-11:00 AM

June 10, 2025 5:45-7:45 PM

July 12, 2025 9:00-11:00 AM

September 13, 2025 9:00-11:00 AM

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE

  • Tours will be done on foot (be sure to wear comfortable shoes you don’t mind getting dirty!) and will last two hours.
  • Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early so that we can get started on time.
  • Tours are held rain or shine, except in the event of severe weather events. Come prepared with protection from the elements and a full water bottle!
  • The on-farm store will also be open at the end of the tour, so be sure to bring your cooler and your grocery list!
  • Farm tour tickets must be purchased and claimed (for children under 12) ahead of time as the group size is limited. Farm tours frequently sell out quickly!
  • Tickets cost $20 for general admission and are free for children under 12 who are attending with an adult. CSA shareholders should register and purchase at least one ticket, and then can add the rest of the family at no charge by contacting us directly. After attending the tour, the value of the purchased tour ticket will then be credited to your CSA member account to use for purchasing extra items throughout the season.

Fun on the Farm Events

These special events will give you the opportunity to enjoy a fun and engaging day on the farm with food, take a mini walking tour around the farm, join activities, and experience more—all included in the ticket price. Great for the whole family! This year we’ll be hosting a Mother’s Day celebration as well as a fun peach-themed event to celebrate peach season.

May 11, 2025 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
