Last Chance to Sign Up for Fall CSA

Happy October! It’s been all things fall around here as we gear up to begin our 2023 Fall CSA next week on October 9 and we would love for you to join in as a shareholder.

Our shareholders are important members of our food and farm family. Their support allows us to invest in infrastructure and in our farm crew, while establishing a regenerative organic farming system that provides them with the best farm fresh food in the world. In nature it’s called a symbiotic relationship, in practice we call it Community Supported Agriculture.

By being a shareholder, you’re helping us better plan financially for the coming harvest. In return, you get an all-access pass to enjoy seasonal, organic, and locally grown and raised vegetables, meat, eggs and more. Highlights for this season include fresh ginger and turmeric which always sell out quickly, squash (such as the popular delicata and butternut varieties), sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and lots of leafy greens. This year we will also have delicious Gala and Honeycrisp apples as well as Bartlett pears available from our friends at Ela Family Farms.

Joining our Fall 2023 CSA is a great way to get into the groove of seasonal eating with a serious dose of convenience – your fresh vegetables and/or meat and eggs are all packaged up for you and ready to be enjoyed each week. We even offer delivery to your door if you live within one of our delivery regions, or you can pick up at more than a dozen locations throughout Central Kentucky, Louisville and Cincinnati.

Three sizes of our Fall 2023 CSA Vegetable Share are available:

  • Mini: Designed for single adults or couples who eat out often. This smallest-size CSA share contains a variety of vegetables each week but is intended to never overwhelm your refrigerator. It’s a good introduction to a CSA Farm Share and new-to-you vegetables.
  • Regular: Designed to provide a couple or a small household most of their weekly vegetable needs. You’ll receive a larger variety and quantity of vegetables than with the mini share.
  • Robust: Designed for a larger family or strictly vegetarian household, a Robust CSA Share covers most of your weekly vegetable needs. This size generally contains the same variety of vegetables as a Regular CSA Share but in larger amounts.

Then you can add on an optional meat share or an egg share to be included in your weekly box.

Here are just some of the benefits of being an Elmwood Stock Farm CSA member:

Customize your share each week

Swap items out, secure your favorites, or add extra veggies, meats, eggs, flowers and pantry items – the choice is yours!

Roll over the value of your share

Going out of town? Need to take a break for a week? You can pause your CSA share in advance through your online portal and roll over up to $75 in account credit.

Flexible pickup + delivery

We distribute to more than a dozen locations throughout Central Kentucky, Louisville and Cincinnati. We can also deliver to your door if you live within one of our delivery regions. Check out the up to date list of pickup and delivery sites here

Experience true seasonal eating

By becoming a CSA member you’ll get to enjoy local, freshly harvested produce, right when it’s in season – and sometimes through its various stages of development.

Eat organic straight from your local farm

Our sixth-generation Kentucky farm is proud to meet the standards of organic certification on all of our offerings, so you can be assured that as a CSA member you’ll be receiving healthy, safe, nutritious and wholesome food grown with care while supporting our local, family owned farm.

Get first pick of all our offerings

We always give our CSA members priority before our vegetables, meats and eggs are offered to the general public. Even if you choose a vegetable-only share, you’ll have first pick to purchase any additional vegetables, meats, flowers and eggs each week.

Connect with your food in a whole new way

Each week you’ll receive a CSA member-only email newsletter with food storage tips, recipes, crop news and other items of interest.

Enjoy special events

You’ll get first shot at purchasing tickets to any on-farm events we hold, like our farm tours and farm to table dinners.
