Of everything that fruits and blooms on our field and in our high-tunnels, we’ve always striven to send only the best to our CSA members and to market. It’s not just what we do, but it’s what we love to do.
It’s a strange skill, farming. You don’t pick it up quickly. You pick it up by being immersed in nature, living with it, and observing. You watch it ebb and flow, and you respond by moving with the tide of its seasons and storms. It’s a lifelong relationship with the land you work and the creatures that live amongst you and keep your system functional.
It’s a slower, more thoughtful lifestyle. It’s not easy; it’s intentional. The rewards are many, of course. A deeper relationship with your ecosystem and with yourself. An attunement to the seasons. And of course, a healthy inventory of wholesome food.
